Tuition is due by the 1st of each month payable by cash, personal check, automatic bank withdrawal, or by credit card (a 15% convenience fee will apply). You may also pay by money order. There is a 5 day grace period, but after the 5th of the month a $5.00 late fee will be assessed.
We prefer tuition to be paid in full, per semester. If you would like to make monthly payments instead of paying in full, per semester, click here for payment information. The monthly Tuition Payment Per Family is based on Hours Taken Per Week. Monthly Payment is NOT decreased or increased for short or long months, or for holidays.
Payments should be mailed to: Festival Dance Academy, University of Idaho, 875 Perimeter Drive MS 2403, Moscow ID 83844-2403
Add up the total hours of classes being taken and click this link to find your monthly payment. NOTE: Two 3/4 hour classes are charged as 2 hours a week.
The registration fee is $25 per each person/child registering and must accompany each registration form. The registration fee is non-refundable. Dancers are registered for the entire year. All back tuition and fees must be paid in full in order to enroll and participate in any dance class, performance, or the spring recital.
When a student makes a change in enrollment, either by adding a class or by dropping one, or by withdrawing from a course, please let the office know. To ensure your classes are changed, call the office or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with "This is an Add/Drop/Withdrawal" as the subject line. We always strive to keep our class lists correct. Failure to let us know that you are no longer attending a class will result in your being charged for the class. If you have any questions about your account or enrollment status please do not hesitate to contact us.
In the case of withdrawals (other than for injury or severe illness), notification must be received BEFORE the 5th of the month. Non-injury/illness withdrawals received after the 5th, will be charged for the current month’s tuition. All other situations, in which a refund might be warranted, shall be decided on a case by case basis by the Executive Director.
Parents are welcome to observe classes during our two Observation Weeks – the first full week of November & March. All other classes are closed for observation. This policy is for the benefit of your child. A distraction-free class provides the best atmosphere for learning. Parents are also invited to attend the Holiday Open House Programs in December. If a parent has a particular concern and would like to observe a class, special arrangements can be made by calling us.
Although we encourage students and parents to discuss any concerns about a class with the teacher, it is not always convenient for teachers to talk at length between classes. To respect teacher’s privacy, we ask that you call the Moscow office and we will have the teacher call you.
The cost for our recital fee is $25 for each course that the student is registered, up to $100 per student. This fee covers the technical costs, facility rental and costume needs for the Spring Concert. Admission to the recital is free!
We DO NOT ALWAYS close for school snow days. When public schools are closed either call the office 883-3267, check the homepage on our website, or listen to KRPL, KOZE, or NPR to see if we are closed. We try to schedule make-ups for classes cancelled during the year, however, if a class is cancelled for weather related circumstances, the Executive Director will decide based on a number of factors, whether the class will be made up. We DO NOT close for public school in-service days.
If we have to cancel class for whatever reason, we can contact you via email. To make this possible it is very important that we have your e-mail address, so PLEASE fill out your e-mail address on your registration form legibly. Help US keep in contact!
